Marvin R. DeGolier, 68 of Stockton, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022. Born Nov. 24, 1953 in Westfield the son of the late Roy and Mildred DeGolier. He was employed for over 30 years with the Chautauqua County Highway Department, retiring in 2015. Marv was a member of the Fredonia Beaver Club, Northern Chautauqua Conservation Club, Son's of the American Legion, Squadron 1280, Ellington Rod and Gun Club, Keystone Elk Country Alliance, Rocky Mountain Elk Federation, NRA and Life Member of the Ellery Center VFW. An avid hunter, Marv also enjoyed shooting, traveling, racing, classic cars, old westerns, puttering and tinkering around, fishing with his grandchildren and spending time with friends and family. Husband of 50 years to Susan Marsh DeGolier who he married Nov. 24, 1972; father of Fred (Lynda) DeGolier of Cassadaga and Amber (Eric) Brenner of Macungie, PA; grandfather of, Emily and Madison DeGolier, Megan and Zachary Brenner; brother of the late Marlene (infant sister), Richard, Ronald and David (Harold) DeGolier. Also survived by numerous in-laws, cousins, several generations of nieces and nephews. A celebration of life is being planned for the Summer of 2023. Private burial in the Charlotte Center Cemetery.
